Paula, my mom, was born on September 26^th, 1962 in Santos. She´s a writer and she´s really kind and lovely. She moved to São Paulo when she was 18 and entered law school. She got married to my father in 1981 and had two children; me and my brother. She always wanted to be a writer, and this year she published her first book, “Viagem Sentimental ao Japão”. Before this book, she had already written many books, but she only published this one. She was trying really hard to find a publisher and last year she found one and they accepted her book. It was a lot of work, because she had to review it a lot of times.  The cover is really pretty and it has some illustrations inside it. The release was really cool and it was one of the biggest releases in the bookstore, Livraria da Vila.

Now the book is released, but the work hasn´t finished yet. Some bookstores are selling it, but it was hard work making them sell it. This month she´s publishing another one!

ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Babette, I´m 13 years old. I live in São Paulo, Brazil, in a house in Vila Madalena, and I study in Colégio Santa Cruz. I have straight and brown hair, nut it’s not very long. I´m tall and my eyes are brown. I also use braces but I´ll take them out this year. I´m friendly and outgoing, but sometimes I like staying at home, mainly on Sundays, my favorite day of the week. I´m also kind and talkative, but sometimes I can be a little annoying, haha!

         I´m the youngest in my family, and I have only one brother. His name is Juliano and he´s 23 years old. He´s funny and intelligent, but sometimes he´s annoying too! My mom is nice and her  name is Paula. She´s kind and intelligent, but sometimes she´s a little absent minded. She likes writing and reading. My dad is funny and his name is Mateus. He´s also intelligent and and he loves reading the newspaper while he´s eating breakfast. I also have a dog called Moby, and I love him! He´s kind of stupid but he´s cute and he likes running in circles. He´s very fast!

         In my free time I like going to the movies, reading books and watching videos on the computer. I´m completely obsessed about The Hunger Games Trilogy! I love the books (I read them all) and the movie. I love reading, is my favorite hobby. My favorite books are Paper Towns, The Hunger Games Trilogy and the Divergent Trilogy. My favorite writer´s John Green, and my favorite actors are Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence. I also love playing Tennis and drawing. My best trip was going to Jericoacoara, and I loved going to New York, but my dream in going to Paris. My favorite singer is Katy Perry, because I love her songs, but I think she has got a lot of attitude! I don´t know what my favorite meal is, but I love strawberry pie and Japanese food. I also love cooking too. One thing that I don´t like is sleeping early. I just can´t! I love staying in my room late at night watching films on the computer, but I only can do this in the weekend. I also don’t like studying for the tests either, I hate exams! The housework that I have to do is making my bed and laying the table, and I don´t mind. I also must give a bath in my dog, but I don´t have to take him for a walk, my dad does it. At school I don´t have to wear a uniform every day, just when I have P.E. days, and I have to be quiet in classroom. I don´t have to have lunch at school, just if I want. I have to do my homework too, and I spend one hour a day doing it.

In the future I don’t know what I´m going to do. Maybe something fun, like a designer or an architect. I think I´m going to stay in São Paulo, but I want to do an English course in England. I really want to go to Europe again!
