My mother Daniela Mendes was born on 31 January of 1966, in São Paulo, she lived in my grandma’s house for her entire life. After I was born, we moved to the USA with my father, there my sister was born, after two years, we came back to Brazil and we moved to a house in Alphaville, there’s where I live today. My mother is very calm, peaceful and so ecologist that sometimes it pisses me off, she loves to recycle and preserve trees, I don’t think like her.

The history I’m going to tell happened when she was 22 years old. My mother loved to sail, and she had a friend who was a professional sailor called Roberto Pandiani, so, one day, they went on a trip to sail on the Brazilian seaside in a Brazilian sailboat called catamaran, they were sailing about 7 kilometer from the coast when they notice a storm approaching them.

They started to tie themselves and begun to pray, the storm had started when they finished tying the thinks in the book. The storm was very powerful and it created giant waves which smashed against the boat and threw the supplies in the sea, and, when thinks seemed to start to get better, some sharks approached the boat and begin to search for food, in other words, humans, my mother got the paddles and they started to paddle for almost 4 kilometers with their boat partial destroyed, then a little boat appeared and offered help, my mother and her friend had been rescued and were safe on land.

Today my mother doesn’t sail anymore, but her friend is a professional sailor and even wrote a book called “the sea is my land”.

About Me

Hi, my name is Felipe, I am thirteen years old, and I live  in São Paulo, a beautiful city that never stops, the people are usually kind, but sometimes they become stressed.

I am medium  height, thin, my hair is short and brown, I have two-colored eyes, one light brown and the other dark brown, I have freckles on my face. I´m not sure if I am intelligent, but I would like to be, I am calm, hard-working, kind, but when I become angry, I usually become aggressive too.

I have two sisters, Julia, the bigger one, is ten years, and Sofia, my little sister, is seven years. My father is called Marcos and my mum Daniela; they are very lovely with me.

I love watching TV or playing computer games, they make me have fun, I can´t stand fruits, “oh god’’, I hate fruits, their taste is horrible, my favorite team is Ipatinga, a football team from “Rio Grande do Sul’’, I love classical music.

I can read for hours without getting tired, I can hold my breath underwater for about 50 seconds, I´m god at school but bad at sports.

At home, I don’t have to do any housework, but I mustn’t do any mess, I have to go to school every morning, but I like school, it makes me more intelligent.

I spend about 15 hours per week working, doing homework or playing  tennis or natation, and the rest of the time I relax or watch TV.

One day, I hope to be an economist, just like my father, I´m going to study hard to make my dreams come true, someday, I´m going to live abroad, learns more in other countries, this will be a god experience.
