My father was born in 1967 in Guarulhos. In the time of the story, he was a Marketing Manager and he worked at Ceval, a food company. One day, he made a mistake. And that’s what I’m talking about now.

He took care of a line of products, which included a type of meat called “Bisteca”. He was receiving calls of people saying that the meat was too salted. Because of the numbers of calls he received (like 4 or 5) he decided to check if that was true. To do so, he got one from the company’s refrigerator and went to the kitchen of the building to prepare it. After he turned on the oven, he realized that there wasn’t a baking pan to use. While he was speaking to his secretary, someone yelled “FIRE”. Then he understood that he had left the oven turned on, so he came back to the kitchen and saw lots of smoke. While he was doing that, the people on his floor went to the stairs hastily, desperate. Because the fire was his fault, he decided to get the fire hose to extinguish it. One person yelled that the gas canister would explode, while he was trying to find the hose. This made my father upset, because there is a security system that does not allow explosions to occur.

Finally, he could extinguish the fire. The most curious is that no one called the firefighters, because there had never been a fire training.

About Me

                Hi, my name is João Gabriel and I’m thirteen years old. I’m tall and a little bit fat. I’m a little bit annoying too. I like going to school but I can’t stand some subjects. I try to be friendly and kind, but sometimes I fail. I have one brother named João Pedro. My mom’s called Mariane and my father Marcel.

         I like very much computer games. They’re my life! But I know I mustn’t spend all my day on them. Talking about sports, I must admit that I don’t mind some of them. I like games like “Queimada” and Volleyball, but I hate sports like soccer and basketball. I love hamburger and pasta, and I don’t like baked potatoes. My favorite team is Ipatinga, although I never watch any of theirs games. I can cook, but I’m bad at it. I can do other things too, like sleeping and eating. Doing these things is so good! I’m into Pop music. I’m interested in singers like Alicia Keys and the band LMFAO. My favorite movie of all-time is Les Misérables. They sing like gods, and their music is amazing. I’d love to watch the musical in Broadway, New York.

         At my school, I mustn’t use cell phones or talk during the lessons. We also don’t have to wear uniform. I go to the school at 7:10 A.M. I have to study five hours and do my homework everyday. Sometimes it’s huge! The school ends at 12:40 P.M. and I arrive home at 1:00 P.M. At home I don’t have to do many things. I’m kind of ashamed of this. The only after-school activity I do is Robotics. It’s very cool! We talk about robots and build them.

         In the future, I hope to be a computer expert. I want to save money for college, because I’d like to study at Stanford University. It’s my dream!
