Júlia Galvão

SHARING LIFE STORIES
My mother was born in 1963, in Recife. She lived in a small house with her sisters and her brother.  She was very intelligent and happy. She loved to cook and she has a fear of frogs.  When she grew up she became a doctor but before she wanted to be something else. She got married and moved to São Paulo. One interesting story about her it’s how she started to be afraid of frogs.
She was three years old and she was going to have a bath with her sister. When they turned it on, a frog came with the water and jumped over my mother’s head. She and her sister started to scream and tried to get out but they couldn’t because the bathtub was too deep.

After a few minutes my grandmother came to the bathroom, took them out of the bathtub and threw the frog away. Since that, my mother has been afraid of frogs.

                                             ABOUT ME

My name is Júlia and I’m 13 years old. I’m thin and I have dark brown eyes and dark brown hair. I’m shy when I’m with people I don’t know, but when I’m with my friends I’m funny, generous and kind. I have three brothers and I don’t have any sisters. My older brother’s name is Gabriel, he’s 17 years old, and my little brothers are twins, and they’re 10 years old. I have two dogs: Mel is a Maltese and Toddy, a Labrador and I have four fishes. I like drawing, writing and animals. I hate bugs and I can’t stand the color pink. My favorite subjects are Arts and English. I’m good at tennis and swimming. I’m really bad at soccer. I love watching series in English on my computer, I normally watch Supernatural and Sherlock. I hate taking injections and I’m interested in English, a lot!
At home I don’t have to make my bed or do the ironing. I must give water and food to my dogs, feed my fishes and clean their aquarium. And at school I have to do my homework and take care of my things. I mustn’t throw trash on the floor, and I mustn’t use my phone on the class.
I spend three hours a week drawing, twenty-seven hours at school, five hours a week studying, eight hours doing English classes every Tuesdays and Thursdays and two hours a week doing Tempo & Espaço.
I would like to be an artist one day. And I’d love to study abroad, in the UK.  And I want to live in London .
