Lara Prado

Sharing Life Stories

My grandfather was born in 1924 in Campinas. His family wasn´t rich but wasn´t poor too. He was very intelligent and he was an electronic technical. He worked fixing and inventing electronic devices to medicine and science, and he knew how to unmake then build again a motorcycle.
One day, he met the daughter of the Unibanco´s owner and they fell in love. After a while they got engaged. However, he met my grandmother and fell for her, and he didn´t know what to do then.
Finally, one day, when he was eating breakfast, he decided to marry my grandmother, and he had dumped his fiancée. the day before. They lived happily for all his lifetime, until the day he died. And they had a girl, my mother!

About Me

Hi! My name is Lara, I am thirteen years old and I’m Brazilian. I’m tall and thin, I have brown straight hair and dark and big eyes. I am creative, anxious and a little shy. I have one sister called Nina that´s fourteen years old. My mom´s name is Maria Teresa and my dad´s name is Eduardo.
I love drawing and I´m good at it, because I always draw in my free time. I like talking with people that have the same interests than me, but I also like meeting new people. I don´t like poisonous animals and insects. I don´t mind doing some housework. I can´t stand false and selfish people. I´m into music, dance and act. I love movies and books like Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Percy Jackson, The Princess Diaries, Aquamarine, Silver Linings Playbook and others like that. I´m interested in  Medicine. My favorite books are the Harry Potter ones, and my favorite actress is Emma Watson. I love watching the TV series Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries, but I watch them on internet. I can dance, play games and read English and Spanish (some books). I can´t play volleyball, I´m bad at it.
At school, I have to do my homework. I must turn my cellphone off during class and I mustn´t talk. At home, I don´t have to make my bed, but on weekends I have to lay or clear the table.
I spend around 28 hours a week at school. I spend eight hours a week doing homework and one hour a week doing housework. I am volunteer after school, and I also go to the gym.  So, I spend around five hours a week doing after school activities. I spend just a little bit of time (thirty minutes) a week doing housework.
In the future I want to be a doctor, but I would like to be a dancer and an actress, too. I´m going to study Medicine at USP, but after that I would like to study in London and in Los Angeles. I would like to live in Italy (Toscana) and in Spain (San Sebastian). I think that living in Australia and Hawaii must be very good, too, so maybe I´ll go there for one year. It´s going to be awesome!
