SHARING LIFE STORIES

This is a story about my mom and my dad. My mom is called Simone, she was born in 1967, in São Paulo and her family has always been very united. My dad is called Marco, Marco Antonio actually, but he’s known just for Marco. He was born in 1971 and his family lives in Tietê, so he use to go there.

In 1990, Simone and Marco were studying engineering at FAAP and  they were studying at the same class for six months and they didn’t know each other, they had never spoken before. In August Simone and her best friend were in a kind of party, talking. They both were single, so they decided to create a “joke”.

         One of them would choose a boy who studied at the same university as them, that was at the party, to start a “conquest game”. This game would have the duration of one month, and in this month Simone would have to “attract” the chosen one.

         In this month she did everything to make him fall in love with her, they did work groups together, got “lifts” together…

         At the final day of the “deal” they went again to a party, and in this past month, she had really fallen in love with him… And at this party… BOOM! They stayed together! And after seven years dating, they got married!

They have been married for 16 years and today they have three beautiful children.

ABOUT ME

My name’s Luiza, I’m 13 years old. I’m brunette, I’ve got brown eyes and I’m medium height. I’m talkative, friendly, patient and outgoing. I’ve got two sisters called Julia and Giovana. And I’ve got two dogs called Lilica and Janis that I consider part of my family. My sisters are cool when they want but we sometimes have arguments. My mom is called Simone and mt father is called Marco. They’re very cool, but sometimes they got angry with me.

I love listening to music and spending time with my friends. I like going to the mall on the weekends and watching films. I’m very interested in magazines. I love doing sports, I do it almost every day of the week. I like travelling to any place. I can’t stand prejudice and racism. My favourite sports are handball and swimming, but I love riding a horse. One of my favourite foods is ice cream. My favourite singer is Justin Bieber, but I like Demi Lovato. My favourite group is “The Wanted” and my favourite subject at school is English. I have drama classes after school and I really like it. I’m good at giving advices and I’m really bad at Science.

            At home, I have to make my bed at the weekends and lay the table before the dinner. But I don’t have to take out the trash or do the ironing. I sometimes take my dogs for a walk. I mustn’t fight with my sisters and say bad words to them.

            During the week, I go to school every day and I do some extra classes like handball, swimming, English classes and drama classes. At school, I have lots of subjects. I often do my homework at night, after 6:30. But when I have lots of homework or when I have to study for tests, I do it earlier , like after lunch.

            I don’t know exactly what I want to be in the future, but maybe a psychologist… I don’t know, I change my mind very often. But I think I could be a psychologist because I’m patient and I love giving advice to help other people’s problems. And I want to do an interchange program soon, in the USA or England, I love travelling, so I’d go to any place (obviously with some exceptions). I want to live in Africa to help children there, and adopt a child from there. Or adopt an African descendent from brazil… I want to help to stop the racism in the world, and the prejudice in general. And I want to marry a cool guy who understands and supports me in my job.
