Pedro Barbará

Sharing life Stories
My father Marcelo Barbará was born in 1962 in Rio de Janeiro. He lived in a really small house there with his mother, his brother and his little sister. He is a very dedicated and organized man.
When he was 20 years old he went to Hawaii to go windsurfing. One day there was no wind so he decided to go fishing with his great friends Roberto. After a long time fishing with scuba they decided to come back to the boat but when my father was going to the boat his rope of his harpoon  got stuck in a rock and he couldn´t swim away. Roberto was already in the boat and he could see my father stuck their but he didn’t help him. While Marcelo was stuck a group of sharks started to swim around him. He was with just a bit of oxygen and he had to be fast. He got a little knife that he had brought on his long john.
After he had cut the rope away he went to the boat and ask Roberto “Why you didn´t help me?” and Roberto answered “Oh, I just wanted to see what you were going to do!” My dad  got really angry and he said that he would not go fishing with Roberto for a long time.

About Me

My name is Pedro Barbará and I´m twelve years old. I´m tall and thin, my eyes are dark brown and my hair is brown. I´m really friendly and sporty, sometimes I´m angry and sometimes I´m shy. I have one brother and one sister, my brother´s name is Matias and my sister is called Sofia. Matias is 16 years old and Sofia is 18 years old. My parents are sympathetic and kind and they are from Rio de Janeiro.
My favorite sports are surf, longboard and football but I can´t stand basketball, it´s really boring. I´m interested in “parkour” but I don´t practice it. I don´t mind reading a cool book or doing my homework. I can ski and I´m good at it and I love doing it, but I can´t do water skiing.
At school and at home I have to study and do my homework and I don´t have to read books only if my school ask me to read a book. At school I must be a good student and mustn´t talk during lessons. In a week I spend about 27 hours  at school, 4 hours doing homework and 4 hours doing extra activities such as tennis, English and football
In the future I will probably do administration at the college “Getulio Vargas”, and I don´t want to live abroad.
