Sharing life stories

 

My great grandfather was born in 1905 in Lebanon. His name was Fuad Kouri. He was a very dedicated student, who studied in a boarding school in England.

When he was 18 years old, he and three cousins decided to go on a trip to Argentina, but first passing in Brazil. So they went to Manaus, Amazonas.

However they liked so much there, that they decided not to come back to Lebanon and stark a new life in Brazil.

As he spoke 8 languages, it was easy to find a job in Manaus.

Years later he met a woman and married her, they had 2 girls and a boy. Their boy´s name was Felippe Kouri. His father died when he was 4 years old. So Felippe came to São Paulo to study, then he met my grandmother and this is how my family continued...
