My granduncle Henrique is a hero to me. He was born in 1946 in São Paulo.   He used to be a pilot of an international company. One day, his bosses decided to send him to Australia, but, even though he had never traveled there before, he accepted the job.

He was going to spend a month in Australia, taking people from city to city. On the day he left, he hadn’t noticed the plane was running out of gas, and that the officers hadn’t filled it for the trip.

So, when he was crossing the Pacific Ocean, the plane started to make a weird noise, warning the plane was running out of gas. He immediately called the post, but there was nobody there. He started to freak out, they had no gas.

Suddenly, my uncle noticed the plane was shaking strongly, and stronger, and stronger, and stronger. The passengers were disturbed, kids started to cry, everybody was awake, looking at the sky through the window. The plane was falling.

Henrique tried to stop the plane but it was too strong, falling into the Pacific. He had no solution, unless doing a forced landing.

So, Henrique pulled the brake as hard as he could and landed in the water. Luckily, there were no deaths, and all the people were helped by a fishing company.

Some time later, before he died , all the people he saved on that day made a tribute to him, and he was very thankful

Hello! My name is Sophia, and i’ll turn thirteen in August, so NOW  I’m still twelve. I’m short and thin, and I have brown hair and brown eyes. I don’t really like the color of my hair, actually, I’d like to have blond hair , but I love the fact my hair is straight. I can be really funny, but I get nervous very easily.  I can be a bit rude or impolite, but I always apologise if I realize I did something wrong.

My family consists of my cute and beautiful cat, named Ozzy, by the way, my older and boring brother , Victor, and my parents Flora and Carlos.  I really like my family… yeah, sometimes.

Well, first of all, I love playing with my baby cat and going to the mall to meet my friends, but I just can’t stand waking up early and making my bed!! I love rock music and my favourite band is “ The Beatles”, “ The Black Keys”, and “ System of a Down”, that is a heavy metal band. Unfortunately, I couldn’t go to any of those concerts, and I got really sad.

I’m really interested in dance, actually, I take dance classes in my free time twice a week in “normal” days. I don’t mind doing my homework, some of them are kind of cool!!!  I JUST HATE  TESTS, well, I think everyone does.

At home, I have to make my bed and wash the dishes. Thanks God I don’t have to do the ironing, because I’m bad at it and I’m scared  of! I must take care of Ozzy, what is something  I like, but I have to clean his sand box too. DISGUSTING!

I spend, about, two hours a day doing my homework and studying after school, and I spend one hour watching TV and surfing the web. I love my after school activities, because I have a lot of fun doing them. They are: English, dance classes, tennis classes, Taekwond and swimming classes!

When I grow up, I’d like to live abroad in United States and have a family there, before I study in Harvard University. I know it is really hard to get in, so I intend to study hard in those following years. I’m still not sure about what I want to be, but I have an idea: a journalist or an actress.
