                  My great-father was born in 1877 in Italy. He lived in a small village with only his father.

        When he was 16 years he ran away of his home and he went to a dock. He slept one day in the dock, and after he came to Brazil in an illegal freighter.

        Here in Brazil he needed to work in a small grocery store, because he was without money. When he was 21 he opened a shoe factory.

        With this shoe factory, he became rich and he married my great grand-mother. After that he had 5 children.
