Sharing life stories

       The story I’m going to tell is about my grandfather. He was born in 1939, and his parents were Lebanese, they came to Brazil because of the First World War. He is a very cultured man, a well-succeeded engineer, and I really like him. He is also very stubborn and persistent, so as I, and he is, from my point of view, an example.

            

Once upon a time, my grandfather was sailing on his boat, an old hobby-cat named Farnangaio, it was beautiful sunny day, the wind wasn’t very strong, but when he was in the middle of the sea, a storm suddenly hit him. He couldn’t see the land, and the main rope loosened, so he had to wait until the storm passed. He hadn’t carried a radio, and it took three hours until someone rescue him!

            My grandfather is a hero to me, and grandmother. He’s alive until today, with my grandmother

About Me

Hi! My name is Felipe and I am twelve. I am tall; I have dark brown hair and brown eyes.

         I am very persistent (people say that I am stubborn), I am ambitious and realist too, but I am not patent at all, and I am very sarcastic too.

         I have a young brother, he is ten. He is tall, thin, has brown hair and eyes such as I, and he is really stubborn (apparently all my family is) but he is sympathetic and very nice.

         I love playing sports, like soccer, handball, sailing etc…

I thing that making my bed is o.k. but I can´t stand doing homework, it is such boring!

         I´m interested in history, I love discovering things about our past and I believe that the past is very important for we understand the future.

         My favorite food is Japanese food, but I don´t like eating cooked fish, only raw fish. The only problem is that it is really expensive.

         I am good at playing most sports, I can run very fast when I want, but I can´t play tennis at all.

         At home, I have to make my bed, only at weekends, but I have to clean the table every day. I don´t have to take out the trash or do the cooking.

         I spend a lot of time doing my homework, five hours a week, but I don´t spend more than two hours a week studying.

         Since I was young I love drawing and I have always been good at math, so I want to be an architect or an engineer. I want to study at USP and get a degree abroad. I would like to do that in England, because my godmother live there, and I always dreamed to study in Oxford!
