My grandmother was born in 1942. She is a hyperactive
and sweet person. She was a Portuguese teacher in USP and head teacher of
FUVEST. She is really smart. She was born in São Paulo.
One day when my grama
was 8 years old she was playing with her friend in the garden, and her mother
was very strict and she said to her:
-
Thereza
you´ve got to go home! I don´t wan´t you playing with your friend! Come on!
And my grandmother and
her friend didn´t want to stop playing. So, they climbed the mango tree and
stayed there.
My great grandmother
was so mad that she called the dad of my grama´s friend to help her taking them
both out of there. My grandma and her friend where very smart, and they said
that they would just get out of there when my great-grandfather arrived home,
because he was really nice and he wouldn’t let my great grandmother beat them.
So, they stayed there
for a long time, they had to eat green mangos, but they put salt on them (it
had a really bad taste without it), they had salt with them because they were
throwing that on the snails of the garden. But, after eating a lot of mangos,
they started feeling bad, their stomach started making strange noises, but they
didn’t get out of the tree.
When my great-grandfather
arrived home, they quickly got out of the tree and started throwing up. My
grandmother didn’t eat mango for a long time.
